Kazakh athlete Anna Danilina, partnering Serbia’s athlete Aleksandra Krunic, has advanced to the women’s doubles final of the Australian Open 2026.
In a hard-fought semifinal, the seventh-seeded Kazakh-Serbian duo defeated Gabriela Dabrowski of Canada and Brazil’s Luisa Stefani in three sets, 7-6, 6-3, 6-4, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.
The match lasted two hours and 22 minutes, with Danilina and Krunic showing composure in key moments to secure their place in the title match.
They will now compete for the Australian Open crown against the winners of the other semifinal, where Belgium’s Elise Mertens and China’s Zhang Shuai face Japan’s Ena Shibahara and Vera Zvonareva.
