Kazakhstan’s leading figure skater Mikhail Shaidorov has delivered a stunning performance to capture the gold medal at the Denis Ten Memorial international figure skating competition, held in Almaty.
Shaidorov impressed both judges and spectators by dominating both segments of the men’s event, The Caspian Post informs via Kazakh media.
He earned 95.01 points in the short program and 187.21 points in the free skate, finishing with a commanding total score of 282.22, well ahead of his closest rivals.
Men’s Final Results:
Mikhail Shaidorov (Kazakhstan) - 282.22 points
Nika Egadze (Georgia) - 266.90 points
Jason Brown (United States) - 257.81 points
In the women’s singles, Lee Hae-in of South Korea emerged as the champion, adding to her growing list of international achievements.
The Denis Ten Memorial competition is held in memory of Denis Ten, Kazakhstan’s first Olympic figure skating medalist and a national hero. The event attracts top-tier talent from around the globe and serves as a celebration of Ten’s enduring legacy and the development of figure skating in Central Asia.
