Kazakhstan and Austria Sign Visa Exemption Agreements for Diplomats

The Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Austria have signed intergovernmental agreements on exempting holders of diplomatic passports from visa requirements and on the readmission of individuals with illegal residence, according to the Kazakh Foreign Ministry.

On behalf of Kazakhstan, the documents were signed by the Minister of Internal Affairs, Yerzhan Sadenov, and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Alibek Bakaev, The Caspian Post reports citing Kazinform.

The Austrian side was represented at the ceremony by Andrea Bacher, the Ambassador of Austria to Kazakhstan.

The concluded agreements expand the legal framework between Kazakhstan and Austria, contribute to strengthening bilateral cooperation, facilitate official visits, and enhance interaction in the field of migration policy.

This step reflects the high level of mutual trust between the two states and their commitment to further developing partnership relations in the political, economic, and humanitarian spheres.

As earlier reported, Kazakhstan introduced new visa categories for skilled specialists and “Digital nomads”.
