In line with the president’s directives, Kazakhstan is actively implementing projects aimed at improving living standards and modernizing social infrastructure by utilizing recovered state assets.
As part of the national Rural Healthcare Modernization initiative, the special state fund has allocated 2.4 billion tenge ($4.4 million) for the reconstruction of central district hospitals in the Merke and Talas districts of the Zhambyl region, The Caspian Post reports, citing Kazakh media.
Of this funding, 2.3 billion tenge ($4.2 million) will support the extensive renovation of the Talas central district hospital, while 144.9 million tenge ($268,133) is designated for repair work at the Merke hospital.
In total, 2.8 billion tenge ($5.2 million) has been earmarked this year from the special state fund to upgrade four healthcare facilities throughout the Zhambyl region.
Since 2022, Kazakhstan has successfully recovered and returned more than 1 trillion tenge ($1.850 billion) in illegally acquired assets, channeling these resources into critical social development projects, including healthcare improvements.
