Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has hosted a credential handover ceremony at the Akorda Presidential Palace, welcoming ambassadors from eight countries alongside the United Nations Resident Coordinator in Kazakhstan.
The president received credentials from Ukrainian Ambassador Viktor Mayko, UN Resident Coordinator Sarangoo Radnaaragchaa, Indian Ambassador Sailas Thangal, Algerian Ambassador Athmane Mehadji, Swedish Ambassador Lars Stefan Eriksson, Belgian Ambassador Erik De Maeyer, UK Ambassador Sally Axworthy, Latvian Ambassador Dace Rutka, and Georgian Ambassador Levan Diasamidze, The Caspian Post informs via Kazakh media.
While speaking at the event, President Tokayev reaffirmed Kazakhstan’s multi-vector and balanced foreign policy, stressing the importance of constructive dialogue and mutually beneficial cooperation. He expressed confidence that the new ambassadors would help strengthen bilateral ties and extended congratulations on the start of their missions.
