Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has signed a decree ratifying the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) Agreement on permissible vehicle weights, axial loads, and dimensions for highways within Eurasian transport corridors.
The agreement, initially signed on December 13, 2024, in Moscow, harmonizes vehicle requirements across EAEU countries to ensure fair and transparent conditions for international road carriers, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.
The move aims to maximize transit potential, improve road transport efficiency, preserve infrastructure, enhance safety, and raise the quality of transport services. By adopting this decree, Kazakhstan strengthens its role as a key transport and logistics hub in the Eurasian region, paving the way for smoother international road shipping.
