Kazakhstan Rolls Out “Digital Qazaqstan” Strategy

Kazakhstan is stepping up its push toward a tech-driven future with the development of a new nationwide digitalization strategy, “Digital Qazaqstan.”

Speaking at a government meeting, Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov announced that a comprehensive draft plan is being prepared to digitize the economy and integrate artificial intelligence across key sectors, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.

The strategy is being developed in line with instructions from the president and is expected to outline a long-term vision for the country’s digital development while coordinating implementation across industries.

Officials say the initiative will play a central role in advancing innovation, improving efficiency, and strengthening Kazakhstan’s competitiveness in the global digital landscape.

Bektenov emphasized that the plan comes at a pivotal moment, as the country marks the Year of Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence - a national priority aimed at accelerating economic transformation through cutting-edge technologies.
