Kazakhstan Takes Six Medals at 2025 Junior Science Olympiad

A team of six Kazakh students have secured six medals at the International Junior Science Olympiad (IJSO) 2025 held in Sochi, Russia.

The competition brought together over 120 participants from 21 countries, competing in physics, chemistry, and biology. Kazakhstan's team included six students and three leaders, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.

Medal winners:

Ratmir Kutyryev (Almaty) - silver

Daniil Perepelits (Pavlodar) - silver

Mukhammad Syzdykov (Zhambyl region) - silver

Timur Alpysbayev (Astana) - bronze

Yerasyl Duisenbekov (Abai region) - medal

Nurseiit Seitkaziyev (Akmola region) - medal

This achievement highlights Kazakhstan’s strong performance in science competitions, following recent success in chess, where the country won 11 medals in Bangkok.
