The Kazakh Foreign Ministry has commented on reports regarding the disappearance of a Kazakh citizen in the US, assuring that the case remains under close monitoring.

Kazakh diplomats are in contact with US authorities and are working to clarify all circumstances surrounding the incident, The Caspian Post reports via Kazinform.

“The Foreign Ministry of the Republic of Kazakhstan is aware of the disappearance of Kazakh citizen A. Kuralbay in Chicago. Our Consulate General in New York is maintaining close contact with the citizen’s relatives. The situation is under the control of the Foreign Ministry of the Republic of Kazakhstan,” the ministry said in a statement.

Kazakhstan’s diplomatic missions are closely coordinating with the relevant US agencies as efforts to locate the missing citizen continue.
