Kazakh Firefighters Avert Potential Explosion During House Fire in Kokshetau

Firefighters in Kazakhstan have prevented a potentially devastating explosion after rescuing three gas cylinders from a burning house during a major fire in Kokshetau.

The blaze broke out in the early morning hours, and by the time emergency crews arrived at the scene, the private residence was already engulfed in flames, The Caspian Post reports via Nur.kz.

Firefighters quickly entered the burning building and safely removed three 27-liter gas cylinders, eliminating the risk of a powerful explosion that could have dramatically worsened the situation.

Thanks to the rapid response of emergency personnel, the fire was fully contained and prevented from spreading to nearby homes and structures.

The fire affected an area of 168 square meters. No injuries or fatalities have been reported.

Investigators are currently working to determine the cause of the fire.

Following the incident, Kazakhstan’s emergency services once again urged residents to follow fire safety regulations and take precautions when using gas equipment and other potential fire hazards.
