Kids Can Learn Hockey from Kyrgyz National Team for Free

Ahead of the U20 Ice Hockey World Junior Championship from January 18-24 at Bishkek Arena, the national hockey team of Kyrgyzstan will host free master classes for children in city parks.

The sessions, conducted as open-ice lessons, will teach kids basic skating skills and include mini-games led by professional players, The Caspian Post reports via Kyrgyz media.

Fans can also meet the athletes at the Severnoye Siyanie (Northern Lights) fair on Ala-Too Central Square, at Eurasia amusement park, and on local ice rinks.

The U20 World Championship will feature youth teams from Kyrgyzstan, Mexico, Luxembourg, South Africa, Iran, and Hong Kong, organized by the Ice Hockey Federation of the Kyrgyz Republic with support from the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF).

This initiative gives young fans a chance to learn from national stars while promoting ice hockey and active lifestyles among Kyrgyz youth.
