Kyrgyz President Arrives in US to Participate in C5+1 summit

Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov has arrived in the US for a working visit at the invitation of President Donald Trump, landing at Andrews Air Force Base.

He was welcomed by US Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Paul Kapur and other officials, with an honor guard and ceremonial carpet highlighting the warm reception, The Caspian Post reports via Kyrgyz media.

During the visit, President Japarov will participate in the C5+1 summit, marking the 10th anniversary of the regional dialogue platform, aimed at strengthening cooperation between the US and five Central Asian countries. A bilateral meeting with President Trump is also scheduled.

The C5+1 format, established in 2015, brings together Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan to coordinate on economic, security, and regional development initiatives.
