Kyrgyzstan Aims to Boost Industrial Share of GDP from to 25%

Kyrgyzstan's Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Adylbek Kasymaliev, announced a goal to increase the industrial share of the country's GDP from 16% to 25%.

Speaking at III People's Kurultai, the head of the Cabinet said that the mechanical engineering and machine tool industry will develop, The Caspian Post reports, citing Kyrgyz media.

"In this area, more than 100 enterprises have been opened in the country, including 4 large plants. Currently, industry accounts for 16% of the GDP, and in the medium term, the goal is to increase this figure to 25%," he said.
