Bishkek will soon feature a new artificial lake as part of the Royal Central Park project - an ambitious urban development effort designed to reshape the recreational environment of the Kyrgyz capital.
The new park is expected to become one of Bishkek’s largest and most modern public leisure spaces, The Caspian Post reports via 24kg.
Significant progress has already been made, with key infrastructure work completed, including the installation of curbs and paving along pedestrian paths and roadways within the park.
Landscaping efforts are now underway. City officials confirmed that a variety of trees, shrubs, and flowers are being planted-each selected to complement Bishkek’s unique climate and local ecosystem.
At the heart of the park will be an artificial lake, which will serve as a focal point for a surrounding relaxation and recreation zone.
The municipal government emphasized that Royal Central Park is being designed as an inclusive and environmentally sustainable public space. It will feature areas for active recreation, cultural events, and social engagement, making it a multi-functional destination for residents and visitors alike.
