Air Astana to Resume Dubai Flights as Kazakhstan Restores Key Gulf Route

Kazakhstan’s national carrier Air Astana will gradually resume regular flights to Dubai from both Almaty and Astana, restoring one of the country’s most popular international routes.

The airline announced that flights from Almaty to Dubai will restart on June 20, while services from Astana will resume on July 10. To ensure operational safety, aircraft will temporarily fly via Pakistan due to the closure of Iranian airspace, The Caspian Post reports via Kazinform.

Air Astana plans to steadily increase flight frequencies over the coming weeks, with daily Almaty-Dubai services scheduled from July 6 and daily Astana-Dubai flights beginning August 3.

Passengers whose tickets were previously rebooked for departures through July 31 will be able to switch to earlier flights free of charge, starting June 20 for Almaty departures and July 10 for Astana departures.

The airline said it is closely monitoring developments in the Middle East and may adjust schedules if necessary, with travelers to be informed promptly of any changes.
