Travel links between the United Arab Emirates and Kyrgyzstan are set for a major boost as low-cost carrier Air Arabia prepares to resume regular flights to Bishkek and Osh following a temporary suspension earlier this year.
The decision was confirmed after a working meeting between Manasbek Samidinov, Chairman of the Board of Kyrgyzstan Airports company, and a delegation from the UAE, The Caspian Post reports via 24kg.
According to the airline's schedule, flights on the Sharjah-Osh-Sharjah route will restart on June 22, 2026, while services between Sharjah and Bishkek are set to resume on July 3, 2026.
Officials in Kyrgyzstan welcomed the move, saying the restoration of air connectivity will improve the country's accessibility, strengthen bilateral cooperation with the UAE, and create new opportunities for tourism, business travel, and people-to-people exchanges.
The two sides also discussed expanding aviation cooperation in the future, including the development of new routes, increasing passenger traffic, and enhancing tourism and commercial ties between the two countries.
Air travel between Kyrgyzstan and the UAE was suspended following heightened regional tensions linked to the escalation of the conflict involving the United States, Israel, and Iran in March 2026.
