Chinese President Xi Jinping has arrived in Kyrgyzstan on a state visit, where he is set to hold talks with Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov and take part in the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit in Bishkek.
Xi was welcomed at Manas International Airport by Japarov and Kyrgyz First Lady Aigul Japarova, according to 24.kg.
The Chinese president arrived accompanied by his wife, Peng Liyuan. The Chinese delegation also includes Cai Qi, head of the General Office of the Communist Party of Chinese Central Committee, and Foreign Minister Wang Yi.
During his visit, Xi will participate in the SCO summit, which is being held in Bishkek and brings together leaders of the organisation’s member states.
