Temporary operating restrictions will be introduced at several border checkpoints along the Kyrgyzstan-China frontier.
The measures are linked to the Labor Day holiday period in China and will affect the movement of people, vehicles, and cargo, The Caspian Post reports via Kyrgyz media.
From April 30:
The Irkeshtam checkpoint will suspend operations from 22:00 (GMT+6)
The Torugart checkpoint will close from 20:00
Both checkpoints are scheduled to resume normal operations on May 2 at 08:00.
Separately, the Bedel checkpoint will remain closed from May 1 to May 5 and reopen on May 6 at 08:00.
During this period, no passage of people, vehicles, or cargo will be permitted through the affected border points.
Officials noted that the restrictions are temporary and coordinated in line with holiday schedules on both sides of the border.
