Kyrgyzstan Faces 34.7% Drop in Honey Export Volume

Over the first half of 2025, Kyrgyzstan exported natural honey valued at 54.98 million soms (approximately $630,000).

This marks a 34.7 per cent decrease compared to the same period in 2024, when honey exports reached 85 million soms (around $965,500), The Caspian Post reports via Kyrgyz media.

The Agriculture Ministry previously reported that China is the primary importer of Kyrgyz honey, receiving 82 tons during this period. Meanwhile, honey imports into Kyrgyzstan have dwindled to just 0.5 tons and are nearly halted, reflecting strong domestic production and increasing trust in locally produced honey.
