Kyrgyzstan Ranks Top Three at Cyber Kün Cybersecurity Contest

Participants from Kyrgyzstan have claimed a top-three finish at the recent Cyber Kün Central Asian Cybersecurity Tournament, a key regional event focused on enhancing digital defense capabilities.

The tournament attracted over 200 professionals from Central Asia, including representatives from banks, government bodies, IT companies, and academic institutions, according to organizers, The Caspian Post informs via Kyrgyz media.

The highlight of the event was a Capture the Flag (CTF) competition, featuring 12 teams of four members each. The challenge involved Red Teams (attackers) competing against Blue Teams (defenders) in a dynamic cybersecurity battle.

The $5,000 prize pool was awarded to the leading teams as follows: Uzbekistan took first place with $2,500; Tajikistan earned second place and $1,500; and Kyrgyzstan secured third place, receiving $1,000.

In addition to the competition, the tournament featured master classes led by international cybersecurity experts, providing participants with practical training and insights into global best practices in cyber defense.
