Kyrgyzstan, Russia Forge Unified Educational Space to Boost Barrier-Free Labor Market

President of the Kyrgyz Academy of Education Nazira Dyusheeva has announced that Russia and Kyrgyzstan are taking significant steps to establish a unified educational space aimed at creating a barrier-free labor market.

She made these remarks during a recent briefing, The Caspian Post reports via Kyrgyz media.

Dyusheeva emphasized that education plays a crucial role in economic development and that enhanced cooperation between the two countries will yield mutual benefits.

The initiative was proposed by Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov during discussions with Russian President Vladimir Putin at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. The two leaders agreed to jointly develop a conceptual framework and roadmap for integrating their education systems.

The key objectives of this collaboration include synchronizing educational standards across all levels - preschool, school, vocational, and higher education - ensuring equal access to quality education, facilitating the mobility of students and teachers, and mutually recognizing academic credentials.

The roadmap is expected to focus on harmonizing curricula, aligning national and subject standards, and recognizing diplomas, certificates, and other academic qualifications.

Additional priorities involve advancing digital infrastructure, integrating electronic learning resources, and expanding teacher training programs. Notably, many Russian educators are already teaching in Kyrgyzstan, while Kyrgyz teachers attend professional development courses at institutions such as Bashkir State Pedagogical University in Russia.
