Kyrgyzstan has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Korea Rural Community Corporation to attract advanced technologies and investment into the country’s agricultural sector.
The cooperation will focus on introducing cutting-edge South Korean solutions for the sustainable management of Kyrgyzstan’s water and land resources, The Caspian Post reports via Kyrgyz media.
Key areas include the modernization of irrigation systems, development of regional infrastructure, and the rollout of high-tech “smart village” projects aimed at boosting productivity and improving rural living standards.
The agreement also creates a legal framework for attracting direct investment and funding through Official Development Assistance, paving the way for long-term cooperation. According to the Kyrgyz Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry, the partnership is fully aligned with Kyrgyzstan’s National Development Program through 2026, which prioritizes digitalization and technological modernization of agriculture.
