Kyrgyzstan will host the Days of Russian Culture, with preparations for the event discussed by Kyrgyz Minister of Culture, Information and Youth Policy Mirbek Mambetaliev and Russian Minister of Culture Olga Lyubimova during the XI United Cultures Forum.
The ministers reviewed a wide-ranging agenda of cultural and humanitarian cooperation, including joint projects in art, education, museum and library affairs, the preservation of intangible cultural heritage, and support for youth initiatives, The Caspian Post reports via Kyrgyz media.
During the meeting, Mambetaliev proposed exploring the possibility of erecting a monument to the acclaimed Kyrgyz writer Chingiz Aitmatov in St. Petersburg in 2028, marking the centenary of his birth and highlighting his significance in world literature.
The officials also discussed initiatives in theater and cinema, as well as opportunities for Kyrgyz creative communities to participate in international projects, including Intervision 2025.
