A two-day forum titled “Resonance of Development and Security: Regional Cooperation and Governance in the Institutional Transformation of CICA”, co-organized by the Center for Analysis of International Relations (AIR Center) and the Shanghai Institute for International Studies (SIIS), has officially commenced in Azerbaijan’s capital Baku.
The event opened with the screening of a dedicated video introducing the forum’s themes, The Caspian Post informs via local media.
Farid Shafiyev, Chairman of the Board of the AIR Center, delivered Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev’s address to the participants, highlighting the importance of regional cooperation and sustainable development in ensuring security.
On the first day, the forum will focus on discussions addressing the link between security and development, exploring new approaches to Asian security governance, cooperation on supply chains amid green and digital transformation, and strategies for strengthening Eurasian connectivity through major initiatives such as the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), the Middle Corridor, the International North-South Transport Corridor (INSTC), and other key projects.
