Kyrgyzstan to Host CSTO Summit in November, Focus on Regional Security and Cooperation

Russian Security Council Deputy Secretary Alexei Shevtsov has announced that Kyrgyzstan's capital Bishkek will host the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) Summit in November.

Shevtsov made these remarks on the sidelines of the third Minsk Security Conference, The Caspian Post reports via Kyrgyz media.

He noted that the CSTO serves as an effective platform for political coordination, joint military operations, and security cooperation among member states.

“The CSTO plays a key role in countering modern threats such as terrorism, drug trafficking, cybercrime, human trafficking, illegal migration, and arms smuggling,” he said.

Shevtsov said that the organization contributes to stability and peaceful development across Eurasia, promoting collective security and strategic partnership between its members.
