Kyrgyzstan, Turkey Discuss Investment Cooperation

Minister-Counselor A. Akayev and Chairman of the Global Entrepreneurship Network B. Yildiz held a meeting at the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in Turkey, The Caspian Post reports citing Akipress.

The parties discussed the prospects for strengthening trade and economic ties and expanding investment cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Turkey.

"Particular attention was paid to priority sectors of the Kyrgyz economy, such as energy, agriculture, mining, construction and tourism," the report says.

The Kyrgyz side presented investment projects, proposing them for consideration by members of the Global Entrepreneurship Network.

The Turkish delegation was shown a presentation on the investment potential of Kyrgyzstan.

Minister-Counselor Akayev spoke about the economic reforms being carried out in Kyrgyzstan aimed at improving the investment sector, as well as measures to create favorable conditions for foreign investors.

Akayev invited the Turkish delegation to visit Kyrgyzstan to study opportunities for expanding the activities of the Global Entrepreneurship Network and strengthening bilateral cooperation.

The event was attended by 20 entrepreneurs.
