Ünal Üstel, the Prime Minister of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), hosted a delegation led by Ambassador Ramil Hasan, Secretary General of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic States (TURKPA), The Caspian Post reports citing local media.
During the meeting, Secretary General Ambassador Ramil Hasan briefed the Prime Minister on the key projects recently implemented by TURKPA and highlighted the high-level support extended to the TRNC by the Heads of State at the 12th Summit of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), held in Gabala under their leadership. He also highlighted the fruitful and dynamic cooperation established within the framework of the TRNC’s observer status in TURKPA, and underscored TURKPA’s readiness, within the scope of its authority, to provide all possible support to the TRNC in its future activities.
The Secretary General further noted that, under the leadership of TURKPA Chairman-in-Office Yerlan Koshanov, Speaker of the Majlis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Assembly has planned significant, strategic, and large-scale initiatives for 2026. He expressed hope that the TRNC delegation would actively participate in many of these initiatives.
Prime Minister Ünal Üstel hailed the TURKPA delegation’s visit to the TRNC, expressing his belief that bilateral cooperation would continue to expand in the future, with support for the TRNC being consistently strengthened.
The meeting was also attended by Deputy Secretaries General Talgat Aduov and Muhammet Alper Hayali, as well as staff member Alasgar Aghayev.
