5.5-Magnitude Earthquake Strikes Northern Türkiye

A 5.5-magnitude earthquake hit northern Türkiye's Tokat province early Friday, according to the Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD).

The earthquake occurred at a depth of 6.37 kilometers (3.95 miles), according to AFAD, The Caspian Post reports, citing Turkish media.

No information on casualties or damage was immediately available.
