Drone Strike on Ukraine's Odesa Injures Children and Civilians

A large-scale drone attack attributed to Russia struck the southern Ukrainian port city of Odesa, causing injuries to civilians, including children, and significant damage to residential buildings and infrastructure.

At least 10 people required medical assistance, among them two children. Emergency teams worked through the night to extinguish fires and secure damaged areas as residents faced widespread disruption, The Caspian Post reports via Ukrainian media.

The hardest-hit area was the Prymorskyi District, where high-rise apartment blocks, a hotel, and central city facilities were damaged. Most of the reported injuries occurred in this district.

Additional strikes were recorded in the Khadzhybeiskyi District and Kyivskyi District, affecting residential buildings, private homes, and vehicles.

More than 250 emergency responders and municipal workers were deployed to assist residents, clear debris, and assess damage. Support services and compensation consultations are being offered to those affected.

Outside the city, infrastructure across the wider Odesa Region was also hit, including port and logistics facilities. Reports indicated that a civilian cargo vessel under the flag of Palau was damaged while docked during loading operations.
