A large majority of people in Russia would like to switch careers-at least temporarily-according to a new survey, highlighting a growing curiosity for new experience and self-discovery.
Some 75% of respondents are open to trying a different profession for a day. The most popular choice? Acting, selected by 19% of participants, The Caspian Post reports via research by Rabota.ru.
Tech and high-responsibility roles also ranked high, with 15% choosing to work as programmers and 13% dreaming of becoming airline pilots. Other popular options included video game testers and high-speed train drivers (12% each), as well as florists and doctors (11%), and ship captains (10%).
Creative paths also attracted interest, with respondents naming roles such as directors, musicians, artists, and professional athletes.
The main driver behind this trend is curiosity-54% said they simply want to experience something new. Another 35% are drawn by the idea of feeling like a different person, while 27% see it as a chance to fulfill a childhood dream.
More practical motivations were less common: 18% hope to explore unrealized career ambitions, and 14% are interested in earning a large sum in a short time.
