A Russian military aircraft crashed over the Crimean Peninsula on March 31, killing all 29 people on board.
The Russian Defense Ministry confirmed the An-26 plane was carrying 23 passengers and six crew members during a scheduled flight when contact was lost at around 6:00 p.m. (GMT+3), The Caspian Post reports via Turkish media.
Search and rescue teams located the crash site and confirmed there were no survivors.
A commission from the ministry is investigating the incident. Preliminary findings suggest a technical malfunction caused the crash, with no evidence of external impact detected so far.
