Russia Gets New Batch of Su-34 Fighter-Bombers

Russia’s United Aircraft Corporation (UAC), part of Rostec, has manufactured and delivered a new batch of Su-34 fighter-bombers to the Russian Defense Ministry under the state defense procurement program.

Rostec said the aircraft completed all required ground and flight tests at the manufacturing plant before being sent to their assigned bases, according to TASS.

The Russian Aerospace Forces crews have accepted the aircraft as part of deliveries of weapons and military equipment requested by the country’s Defense Ministry.

The Su-34 combines the capabilities of a fighter jet and a bomber and is designed to strike ground, surface and air targets, including in difficult weather conditions and when facing active air defense systems.

The aircraft’s large internal fuel capacity and fuel-efficient engines allow it to conduct flights lasting up to 10 hours without landing.

The Su-34, known by NATO as the Fullback, is designed to carry out missile and bomb strikes against ground targets and engage enemy aircraft.

The aircraft has been actively used by Russia, including in the ongoing war in Ukraine.
