Russia’s armed forces have received new batches of T-90M Proryv and T-72B3M tanks, Russian defense manufacturer Uralvagonzavod (UVZ) announced.

The company said the combat vehicles were delivered ahead of Tankman’s Day and equipped with an upgraded all-around protection system, according to Interfax.

A Russian Defense Ministry representative said the company was meeting its delivery commitments on schedule and that the tanks were becoming increasingly protected.

“Work to improve the protection, operational and technical characteristics of armored vehicles is ongoing,” the company’s press service said, adding that feedback from tank crews on the front line is taken into account.

The T-90M Proryv is the latest modification of Russia’s T-90 main battle tank.

The T-72B3M is a heavily modernized version of the Soviet-era T-72 main battle tank.
