Russia’s latest Geran-5 drones have reportedly reached speeds of up to 1,000 kilometers per hour while maneuvering, Ukrainian electronic warfare expert Serhii Beskrestnov, known by the callsign “Flash”, said.
Beskrestnov said Ukrainian military personnel had recorded several instances in which the newly developed Russian drones reached such speeds, according to UNIAN.
He warned that Russia continues to improve its unmanned aerial vehicles, involving large numbers of engineers and young specialists in their development.
“Russia’s best engineers are working against us. And it is not only the Russian Federation, but also China,” Beskrestnov said.
The expert said that Chinese-made engines, antennas, modems, cameras and other key components have been found in Shahed-type drones. He also claimed that Chinese engineers are contributing to the development of certain technical solutions for Russian drones.
