Russia, Ukraine Carry Out New Body Exchange Under Istanbul Deal

Russian presidential aide Vladimir Medinsky has announced that Russia and Ukraine carried out another exchange of the bodies of fallen servicemen under agreements reached in Istanbul, Türkiye.

He said that Ukraine received the bodies of 1,000 Ukrainian soldiers, while Russia was handed over the remains of 26 Russian servicemen, The Caspian Post reports via Russian media.

Medinsky recalled that in late October, as part of the same Istanbul arrangements, Russia had transferred 1,000 bodies to Kyiv, while the Ukrainian side returned 31 bodies.
