Russia Launches Over 100 Shahed, Gerbera Drones at Ukraine

Russia has recently launched 160 strike drones, including Shahed and Gerbera models, at Ukraine.

The Ukrainian Air Force reported intercepting 108 drones, with 47 hitting 23 locations in southern and eastern regions, The Caspian Post reports via Ukrainian media.

The attacks originated from Oryol, Kursk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Bryansk, Millerovo, and Hvardiiske in occupied Crimea, with about 90 drones being Shahed models. Ukrainian defense units, including aviation, anti-aircraft systems, electronic warfare, and mobile fire groups, repelled most of the attacks.

Critical infrastructure in Odesa was damaged, leaving parts of the city without electricity, water, and heat, while a shock wave injured one person and disrupted traffic on the Odesa-Reni highway. In Kharkiv’s Kupiansk district, a guided bomb killed a 22-year-old man and injured four others in Blahodativka village. Russian strikes also continued at the Kherson Thermal Power Plant, delaying repair works from previous attacks.

The Ukrainian Air Force warned that several drones remain in Ukrainian airspace and urged civilians to follow safety precautions.
