Russian forces have carried out an airstrike on the city of Sloviansk in eastern Ukraine, leaving two people dead and several others injured.
The attack targeted Sloviansk in the Donetsk region and involved the use of aerial bombs, according to preliminary information, The Caspian Post reports via head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration Vadym Filashkin's message on Telegram.
Filashkin said that two civilians were killed and seven injured in the strike.
Emergency services were dispatched to the scene immediately after the attack to assist victims and assess the damage. Authorities warned that casualty figures may change as rescue and response operations continue and more information becomes available.
