Three Children Among 9 Killed in Russian Strike on Ukraine's Pryluky

The bodies of three children have been recovered from the rubble of a residential building in Pryluky, Ukraine, following a Russian missile strike.

The death toll from the strike on the city has risen to nine, including three children. At least 40 people were injured, including seven children, according to ASTRA.

The strikes hit Pryluky at around 6 a.m. (GMT+3). Ukrainian authorities said missiles struck several locations, including a high-rise residential building, a children’s and youth creativity center and an industrial facility.

Emergency crews searched the damaged buildings for survivors and recovered the bodies of three children from the residential building.

Russia’s Defense Ministry said its forces had struck an industrial facility belonging to TD Plastmass-Pryluky. The ministry claimed the facility was involved in the production and storage of components for FP-5 Flamingo cruise missiles.

“An industrial enterprise [TD Plastmass-Pryluky] in the settlement of Pryluky, which produces and stores components for FP-5 Flamingo cruise missiles, was hit,” Russia’s Defense Ministry said.

Ukraine’s authorities reported that the overall number of people injured in the strike reached 40, while nine people were killed, including three children.
