Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan is set to attend the Foreign Ministers' meeting in Doha on September 14, held in preparation for the upcoming Extraordinary Summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the Arab League (AL).
The meeting will center on reviewing and finalizing a draft resolution to be presented at the leaders' summit, The Caspian Post reports via the Turkish Foreign Ministry.
The heads-of-state summit is scheduled for September 15, convened at Qatar’s invitation and with the backing of Türkiye, which currently chairs the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers. This gathering follows Israel’s attack on Doha on September 9.
This will mark the third joint emergency summit between the OIC and Arab League, called in response to Israel’s ongoing military operations in Gaza since October 7, 2023, which have since extended to include strikes in Lebanon, Syria, Yemen, and Iran.
