Türkiye’s General Directorate of Meteorology has issued yellow and orange weather alerts for 48 provinces as severe weather is expected to affect large parts of the country.
The forecast includes heavy rainfall, temperatures dropping below seasonal averages and storm-force winds with gusts reaching 80 km/h, according to TRT Haber.
Torrential rain is expected in several regions, including Istanbul, Kocaeli, Zonguldak and parts of Eastern Anatolia. The downpours could trigger local flooding and flash floods.
Authorities have urged residents to exercise caution amid the risk of transport disruptions and damage to infrastructure.
The warnings come as forecasters expect a combination of heavy precipitation, falling temperatures and strong winds to affect multiple parts of Türkiye.
