Ukraine’s defence forces carried out a strike on the Novatek-Ust-Luga complex in Slobodka, Russia’s Leningrad Oblast, overnight on August 13-14.
Ukrainian forces reported a fire at the facility's premises. Early reports indicate that two processing units were hit, Ukrainska Pravda reported.
The extent of the damage and the results of the strike are being confirmed.
Novatek-Ust-Luga is a production and transshipment complex designed for the fractionation and processing of stable gas condensate, with a capacity of almost 8 million tonnes of raw material per year.
The complex's output is used in Russia's military and economic activities and supports the needs of the Russian armed forces.
