Azerbaijan Youth Hockey Team Secures Third Place for First Time

Azerbaijani hockey players delivered an impressive performance at the “Galaxy Cup 2025” tournament, held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

For the first time ever, a team representing the “Ojag Sports Club”, consisting of 10 players born between 2013 and 2015, won a bronze medal for the country. It marked a significant milestone in the development of this sport in Azerbaijan, The Caspian Post reports citing Azertac.

Goalkeeper Ilkin Gambarov was honoured with the title of the team's best player.
