FIFA President Gianni Infantino congratulated Kamchybek Tashiev and the Kyrgyz Football Union on the opening of the FIFA Arena mini-stadium in Kyrgyzstan.
"Every boy and girl who dreams of playing football will now have a safe space to learn, grow and play the game we all love," Infantino wrote, The Caspian Post reports, citing Kyrgyz media.
According to the Kyrgyz Football Union, Kyrgyzstan has become one of the first 11 countries to open such a site. This is a step that will change the lives of thousands of children and strengthen the development of football in the country.
A new football field was opened on the territory of Bishkek Secondary School No. 91 as part of the FIFA ARENA project on Saturday.
The FIFA ARENA project is a global initiative of the International Football Federation (FIFA) aimed at building mini-football pitches around the world. The goal of the program is to provide children and young people with access to high-quality and safe infrastructure for playing football.
