Tajikistan Demands Taliban Apologize for Border Attack

Tajikistan has called on the Taliban to issue an official apology after a recent armed attack on a border checkpoint.

Tajikistan’s National Security Committee called on the Taliban leadership to take additional measures to ensure border security, following a recent armed incident, The Caspian Post reports via Tajik media.

Terrorists illegally crossed the border and attempted to attack a border checkpoint. This marks the third armed assault on the state border in the past month. The intruders refused to surrender and resisted the border guards.

“As a result of the combat operation, three terrorists were neutralized. Weapons, explosives, and ammunition were seized. The border troops hope that the Taliban leadership will apologize to the people of Tajikistan and take additional steps to secure the border,” the committee said.

The committee emphasized the importance of strict border control and international cooperation to prevent further attacks and maintain regional stability.
