Tajikistan’s higher education sector marked a major milestone in 2025 as the International University of Tourism and Entrepreneurship of Tajikistan has been ranked among the world’s best universities, securing first place nationally.
The announcement was made at a press conference by the university’s rector, Ubaydullo Asrorzoda, who described the past year as a turning point for both faculty and students, The Caspian Post reports via Tajik media.
He highlighted the visit of President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon to the university and his address on Knowledge Day as a clear sign of sustained state support for science and education.
University officials noted that the academic process is being continuously updated to meet modern demands. As part of these reforms, curricula and study programs were fully revised, while the number of academic specialties expanded from 77 to 101, significantly broadening educational opportunities for students.
To strengthen links between education and industry, the university has also signed cooperation agreements with 96 enterprises and sectoral organizations. These partnerships are expected to enhance practical training, research collaboration, and graduate employability.
