CIS FMs Approve Documents Ahead of Summit in Turkmenistan

Foreign ministers of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) have approved draft documents on cooperation in security, science, space and the economy, which are expected to be submitted for consideration at the CIS summit in Turkmenistan on October 9.

The documents were approved during a meeting of CIS foreign ministers, according to Interfax.kz.

The upcoming summit will also feature the participation of Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, who has been invited to the CIS leaders’ meeting for the first time.

Pezeshkian will also take part in the Caspian Environmental Summit, which is being held in Turkmenistan.
