Fire Breaks Out at Oil Storage Facility in Uzbekistan’s Bukhara

A fire at an oil storage facility in Uzbekistan’s Bukhara region left three people injured, with all three suffering burns and being hospitalized.

Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that the fire broke out in a storage tank at 10:25 a.m. (GMT+5). The blaze was extinguished by 11:18 a.m., according to Sputnik Uzbekistan.

The incident occurred at a facility operated by Uzbekneftegaz.

The company said the affected storage tanks are located outside the main plant, meaning the fire did not disrupt production operations.

The causes of the fire and the extent of the damage are currently being investigated.
