A fire broke out under the dome of a newly built mosque in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, on October 3.
The incident was reported at around 11:36 a.m. (GMT+5) near an elevated metro line in Tashkent’s Yangihayot district, opposite the Sergeli-4 residential area, according to upl.uz.
Emergency and rescue teams were immediately dispatched to the scene and brought the situation under control. Firefighting operations were carried out at the site.
According to preliminary information, no one was injured in the incident.
The fire was extinguished at around 12:04 p.m. (GMT+5).
The fire occurred in polyurethane foam beneath the mosque’s dome.
