Majority of Uzbek Women Tie Knot at 20–30

Most women in Uzbekistan get married between the ages of 20 and 30.

Official figures show that 177,017 marriages were registered across the country from January to September 2025, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.

More than half of the women who married during this period - 94,765, or 53.5 per cent - belonged to the 20-30 age group, making it the most dominant category.

At the same time, a significant share of marriages involved younger women. 65,078 women, or 36.8 per cent, entered marriage before the age of 20, indicating that early marriage remains common.

Far fewer women married at an older age. Among women aged 31 to 40, 13,137 marriages were recorded, accounting for 7.4 per cent, while only 4,037 marriages, or 2.3 per cent, involved women aged 41 and above.

Overall, the statistics highlight that the overwhelming majority of Uzbek women start families at a young age, primarily between 20 and 30, while marriages after 30 remain relatively uncommon.
