Two Uzbek nationals wanted on criminal charges have been extradited from Türkiye and returned to Uzbekistan.
One of the women is accused of running a fraudulent scheme in which she promised citizens jobs in the US and European countries despite lacking a license to provide overseas employment services, The Caspian Post reports via Anhor.uz.
Investigators say she collected money from victims, misled them with false job offers, and then disappeared. She had reportedly been evading authorities for nearly six years and is wanted in connection with a major fraud case.
The second woman was being sought on charges related to human trafficking. She was located and detained in Türkiye before being extradited to Uzbekistan, where authorities will continue their investigation.
